We are currently seeking an enthusiastic individual to join the Postal Transformation (PT) project to lead the team responsible for the development of the “future state” automated and manual sortation strategy for Short / Long mail as Team Lead in the creation and building of the Modern Post. The successful candidate will: - Lead, manage and mentor the team responsible for development of the sortation strategy for automated and manual processing of Short/Long mail to achieve corporate objectives for cost containment and value creation.
- Research and provide documented assumptions and supporting design rationale (capacity models, worldwide best practices, internal CPC best practices) required to achieve operating targets and project goals.
- Work with other PT project leads and internal CPC functional groups by facilitating workshops and design process walk-throughs to gain consensus on proposed designs.
- Work with other CPC project stakeholders (Induct, Network, Delivery) to ensure mail flows and hand-off procedures are documented and in accordance with established Service Level Agreements in support of the overall PT project design.
- Provide documented sortation process designs approved by stakeholders for all identified CPC facilities.
- Provide impact assessments of proposed designs (cost/benefits, IRR, etc.).
- Prepare business cases to support acquisition of infrastructure components (automated sortation equipment, etc.) ensuring all man-machine and man-tool relationships follow generally accepted ergonomic principles.
Qualifications include: - University degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial preferred)
- Minimum 5 years Engineering / Technical / R&D management experience (postal or related industry is preferred).
- Proven technical writing abilities.
- Oral presentation skills to multi-functional and multi-levelled audiences
