Korn/Ferry International Futurestep, Inc. and its affiliates ("Futurestep") is committed to protecting the privacy of personal data collected at this Futurestep Web site ("Site"), both for those who fill out the Futurestep registration form and become a Futurestep member ("Member" or "You") as well as for non-Member visitors to this Site ("Visitors"). Please note that affiliates are subject to change from time, and any such changes will be posted via the link to "affiliates" provided here; please check back periodically. This Privacy Policy summarizes the policies of this Site regarding the collection, use, and transfer of personal data and regarding security measures Futurestep employs to protect such personal data. Please be aware that this Site may contain links to third-party Web Sites, that this Privacy Policy does not apply to such Web Sites, and that Futurestep is not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or conduct of such Web Sites. By using this Site, Members and Visitors agree to the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy.
Collection of Information
This Site collects a variety of personal data, such as name, address, e-mail address, telephone number, and other information from Members. Personal data typically is collected as part of the registration process for Members, but also can be collected when comments or other communications are submitted to this Site by Members or Visitors, through a Members participation in discussion areas, such as Career Exchange ("Discussion Areas"), or otherwise. Before such personal data is collected, Members and Visitors will be told the purpose for which the data will be used and will have the choice of whether to provide such data to Futurestep. In general, Futurestep collects personal data for the following purposes: executive search services and related activities. Please note that if the Member or Visitor decides not to provide such information, the Member or Visitor will not be able to fully use the features of this Site. Also, be sure to take care in choosing Your Discussion Area name so it does not identify You, because that name will be associated with any contributions You make to such Discussion Areas; that name and the contribution You make may be posted on this Site for others to see, both at the time such contributions are made and in the future in the form of transcripts. This Site logs IP addresses and browser information for purposes of system administration, identifying technical difficulties, evaluating traffic patterns and usage of this Site, and otherwise providing content relevant to visitors to this Site.
The Futurestep Login page has an option at the lower right, "Save ID & Password." Selecting this option enables your browser to remember your login information so that you won't have to enter it each time you access Futurestep. This is done using an Internet technology feature known as a "cookie."
"Cookies" are small pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive. Cookies are often used by e-commerce web sites to "remember" information about past interactions to improve the level of service for future interactions. Futurestep's cookies do not contain any other personally-identifying information. They are used to pre-fill your User ID and Password and to make it easier for you to visit our site.
By selecting the "Save ID & Password" option, you are telling Futurestep to always assume that the person who logs onto your computer is you. Anyone who has access to your computer would be able to view and update the information in Futurestep without having to know your User ID and Password. Therefore, you should use the "Save ID & Password" option only if you are the exclusive user of your computer. You can turn this feature off at any time by deselecting the "Save ID & Password" option.
Futurestep also uses cookies for user session management. A cookie ties together a sequence of web pages that constitute a login session for a particular user.
You can configure your browser to accept all cookies, reject all cookies, or notify you when a cookie is set. (Each browser is different, so check the "Help" menu of your browser to learn how to change your cookie preferences.) If you reject all cookies, you will not be able to use Futurestep services that require you to sign in.
Minors (persons under the age of legal competence, which for most countries means under age 18) are not eligible to become Members and may not otherwise use, or submit personal data through, this Site.
Use, Disclosure, and Transfer of Personal Data
You hereby agree that Futurestep may collect, use, store, maintain, transfer, and delete Your personal data in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Futurestep collects personal data for use in connection with its operation of an executive search consultancy for senior management professionals. Futurestep will release personal data protected by Your User ID and password to Futurestep clients (potential employers) or other third parties (Futurestep business partners) only with Your express consent, unless releasing such information is otherwise required by applicable law, statute, regulation, ordinance, or court order. Where Futurestep does release Your personal data to Futurestep clients or business partners, Futurestep will first require them to agree to use such personal data in accordance with this Privacy Policy and only for the purposes for which it was collected. The disclosure of personal data as contemplated in this Privacy Policy may be to a party outside the home jurisdiction of the Member or Visitor. In particular, for Members and Visitors based in the European Union, data may be transferred to jurisdictions outside the European Union that may not have equivalent laws and rules to protect personal data. By agreeing to this Privacy Policy, You also consent to the transfer of Your personal data to Futurestep, its partners, and its clients, some of whom may be overseas, in order to deliver Futuresteps services to You.
Futurestep reserves the right to use aggregated data (data that is not individually identifiable). Such aggregate uses could include, but are not limited to, making Futuresteps capabilities known to potential hiring companies or existing clients (for example, "we have X thousand engineers registered with salaries within your target offering range") and otherwise meeting Futuresteps marketing and business objectives.
Accessing, Modifying, or Removing Your Information
Under applicable laws, statutes, regulations, or ordinances, You may have the right to (i) check whether Futurestep holds personal data about You, (ii) access such personal data, and (iii) correct any personal data about You that is inaccurate.
If the information You provide through registration changes or becomes inaccurate, please follow the directions below to modify such information:
Log in to Futurestep by entering your User ID and Password. From your Home Page, select the appropriate page from the left-hand navigation bar, for example, "Build My Resume" and Career History.
To edit information, select the appropriate item from the summary row at the top of each page, and click edit. From each page You edit, press Save and Continue to save your updated information.
If You would like Futurestep to delete Your registration profile from the Futurestep database, please send an e-mail message to info@futurestep.com, put "Remove User" in the subject line of that e-mail, and include Your full name, Your User ID, and Your phone number in the body of the message.

User ID and Password Protection
All personal data that You provide in the registration process is associated with and protected by a User ID and password, both of which You choose. You may access Your own information any time with Your User ID and password. Only personnel of Futurestep may directly access Your personal data provided through registration.
To change Your password, please follow the directions below.
Log in to Futurestep by entering your User ID and Password. From your Home Page, select Set Up page from the left-hand navigation bar.
On the Setup page type in your old password. Type in your new password, then type in your new password again to confirm it. Click Change Password.
If You forget Your password, you can select Forgot Your Password? from Futuresteps Login page and follow the directions there. You will be asked to provide us with your User ID, or your First and Last name plus Preferred email Address. We will immediately email your information to your Preferred email address. Or you may contact us at info@futurestep.com.
Futurestep reserves the right to change User IDs and Passwords at any time to protect the security of this Site. To help protect Your information, You must:
Keep Your User ID and password confidential; and
Contact us immediately at info@futurestep.com if You know or suspect that Your User ID or password has been compromised.
Data Security and Integrity
When You provide personal data to this Site via registration, such data is stored on secured servers that may be located overseas but that are protected by this Privacy Policy. Futurestep takes reasonable steps to protect Your personal data from loss, misuse, or other unauthorized uses, and to remove Your personal data when it is no longer required for its intended purposes. Futurestep cannot, however, guarantee that loss, misuse, or unauthorized use will never occur (e.g., that someone will not overcome our security measures), and makes no representations or warranties to this effect.
Changes to the Privacy Policy for This Site
Futurestep reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy from time to time and in its sole discretion. If the Privacy Policy for this Site changes, the revised policy will be posted at the Privacy Policy link on this Sites home page. Any material changes in the Privacy Policy will be brought to the attention of Members when You next log in.
